The Professional Police Leadership Training is designed to prepare police supervisors and managers to address current and future leadership challenges in a period of increased scrutiny of the policing profession. The purpose of this course is to describe evidence-based leadership principles used in both government and the private sector as a foundation for improved organizational operations. Throughout the program, attendees will be engaged in discussing and applying those leadership concepts in a variety of police incidents. There is an emphasis on the use of coaching and mentoring officers and staff as opposed to traditional hierarchical management styles. The instructors have designed this course as an active learning program that relies upon cases studies and scenarios to reinforce leadership principles.

The cost for the seminar is $755 per person which includes materials, continental breakfast, breaks and lunches. Checks should be made payable to the Roger Williams University JST&RI, 144 Anthony Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871. Travel, lodging and evening meals are the responsibility of the attendee.
